Third Annual Shooting for the Stars Pool Tournament and Auction at El Gaucho

Who: El Gaucho® Portland, Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon (HFO) and Oregon Health and Science University’s Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC).

What: Third Annual Shooting for the Stars Pool Tournament and Auction

When: Sunday August 24, 2008,

Where: El Gaucho Portland,
319 S.W. Broadway, Portland

Why: One hundred percent of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the HFO and CDRC. Founded in 1963 by a small group of parents and children with hemophilia, the HFO is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing education and support to families affected by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. The CDRC, located on the 7th floor of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, serves more than 8,000 children, teens, and adults with physical and developmental disabilities and complex health conditions.

Details:

• The restaurant will be transformed into a casino-style pool hall, with blackjack, poker and craps tables.

• Guests will receive an unlimited supply of gambling chips to play with at the tables.

• The evening’s events center on a nine-ball pool
tournament, offering lucky pool sharks the chance to compete against World Billiard Trick Shot Champion Mike Massey. Mike Massey is the best known and most accomplished trick shot artist in the game of pool.

• Guest will enjoy El Gaucho’s renowned 28-day dry-aged Certified Angus Beef® Prime steaks in addition to complimentary wine, beer, and cocktails.

Throughout the night, guests will also participate in a live auction benefitting HFO and CDRC.

Tickets for guests not participating in the pool tournament are $150. The tournament entry fee for pool players is $1,000 and includes entrance for a non-paying guest.
