TACOMA, Wash.—(June 3, 2008)—Heading to Havana for cocktails isn’t a realistic option, so mark your calendars: On Friday, June 6th (4 – 8 p.m.), Mackay Restaurants’ Sea Grill will be celebrating the arrival of this year’s al fresco dining season with fresh appetizers and two featured mojitos (a.k.a., the “Cuban Highball”) on its sunny deck overlooking downtown Tacoma.
A harbinger of summer, nothing shakes off winter quite like a refreshing, green-tinted mojito—mint leaves gently bruised and muddled with lime and sugar, then topped with white rum and soda. To celebrate the sunny season on the deck all summer long, Sea Grill will introduce a new and exotically flavored mojito for the very special price of $8 each week. Keep an eye out for ingredients like, cherry, apple and pear to tantalize the taste buds.
For the party, don’t forget to dig out your favorite tropical attire, the brighter the better: Sea Grill will provide the leis to complete the Island Look. (Don Ho and Jimmy Buffett would be proud.)
(In the highly unlikely event of inclement weather, the party will continue as planned, in the lounge.)
Sea Grill is located on the commerce street level of the Rainier Pacific Bank in Tacoma, Wash., and features outstanding fresh seafood. Open for dinner Monday – Thursday 5 to 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday 5 to 11 p.m.; open for lunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; bar will serve from open to close daily. 1498 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, Wash., 98042. For more information or reservations, call (253) 272-5656 or visit www.the-seagrill.com.
