Sea Grill Forges Exclusive Partnership with Tacoma Glassblowing Studio TACOMA, Wash.—(April 10, 2008)—Tacoma is a city recognized for its world-class Museum of Glass: Now Sea Grill has mounted its own vibrant exhibit of fine glass art. Mackay Restaurants’ seafood-centric Sea Grill proudly displays almost 20 unique glass pieces, courtesy of Tacoma Glassblowing Studio, throughout the main dining room and private dining room. Fittingly, the colorful, abstract designs echo the swirls, whorls and hues of undersea plant and animal life. The studio was founded in 2006 by Tacoma native Mark Sigafoos and his wife Jeannine, who is a server at Sea Grill. Jeannine introduced her husband’s work to Sea Grill General Manager Mike Neumann. Neumann was extremely impressed and a mutually beneficial relationship was struck. “A lot of our guests have come to Tacoma to see the glass museum, and then they come to the restaurant for an elegant evening. Mark and Jeannine’s pieces add a local element to our ambiance.” says Neumann. For more information on Tacoma Glassblowing Studio, including glassblowing classes, visit www.tacomaglassblowingstudio.com. Sea Grill is located on the commerce street level of the Rainier Pacific Bank in Tacoma, Wash. and features outstanding fresh seafood. Open for dinner Monday – Thursday 5 to 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday 5 to 11 p.m.; bar will serve from open to close daily. 1498 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98042 www.the-seagrill.com.
