Position Summary
Manage client accounts in the Food/Wine/Hospitality industries.
Drive PR strategy and execute tactics for national product launches to build awareness with media and consumers.
- Manage all details behind execution of local and national market campaigns
- Proactively identify opportunities and build relationships to optimize media coverage with national publications and selected verticals
- Write press releases and pitches
- Pitch key media outlets including online, print and broadcast
- Single point contact for day-to-day media inquiries
- Track time and tasks to be compiled by the internal office into a monthly media report that identifies success and opportunities and provides a metric by which to measure improvement
- Write, review and edit copy as needed
Qualifications
The individual must possess comprehensive PR credentials and have experience within the Food/Wine/Hospitality industry in particular, as well as a broad range of consumer account experience. Must be able to show related experience on lifestyle accounts with national and local successes.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Technical/Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word), Bacons, PR Newswire and ProfNet.
Experience with QuickBooks, Adobe Contribute and Photoshop Elements a plus.
